SeaSense is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how your information is handled when you use SeaSense.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our own servers. SeaSense does not require account creation, email address, or name.

2. Local Storage

Preferences you set (favourite locations, units, layout) are stored locally on your device using native storage APIs. This information never leaves your device.

3. Third-Party Services

SeaSense retrieves weather data from the Open-Meteo API. Each request transmits:

• The coordinates (latitude/longitude) of the selected location.
• Your IP address as a standard part of internet communication.

4. Location Data

Location data is used strictly to fetch the forecast for the area you select — not for tracking or profiling.

5. Children's Privacy

SeaSense does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13, in compliance with COPPA.
